Duties

Help

Responsible for leading the work of Lodging Guest Service Representatives assigned to the Lodging Guest Reception unit. As a working leader, performs the following duties: Instructs and trains new employees. Distributes and balances workload among employees. Observes work in progress, production, adherence to quality and safety standards. Elevates unresolved employee complaints to the supervisor. Provides input on performance, progress, and disciplinary problems. Reports all repair and maintenance requirements according to established policy. Reports all violations of safety to immediate supervisor. Updates automated data base on occupancy and checkouts. Ensures adequate stock of supplies and equipment to do the work. Performs inventories of re-sale, sundry, and guest amenity item maintained at the Lodging Guest Reception unit. As time permits, performs non-lead duties as Guest Service Representative. Will be required to cash on to a drawer to receive guest payments, checks lodging and receipt slips, registers guests and assigns rooms, receives and distributes mail, furnishes information to guests on available facilities and activities both on and off base, places calls, coordinates information for status reports, prepares reports, collects money and prepares or oversees the maintenance of records. Ensures cleanliness of lobby and reception area to include restrooms and coffee bar area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have at least one year experience of front desk operations from either military or civilian hotel operation. Applicant must have experience in general clerical or cashier work of any kind which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactory in handling multi-task and providing quality customer service. Experience which demonstrates the applicant's ability to lead the work of others. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to read, speak and write English. Must meet state and legal age requirement for sale of alcoholic beverages.
