This position is a FLEX and is not guaranteed hours, but may have you work anywhere between 0 - 40 hours a week.

This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.

Duties

Help

Performs and/or assist in the operation and maintenance of recreation equipment and facilities. Establishes schedules, policies and procedures for rental equipment. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following. Checks in and out rental equipment to customers; demonstrates proper use and safety of rental items to customers ensuring safe operation of rental equipment. Maintains cleanliness of rental items and facility; Maintains documented preventative maintenance scheduled on rental inventory. ensure proper rotation of rental equipment. cleans and provides regular operational inspections on various types of boats, camping trailers, bikes lawn, garden, camping and miscellaneous rental items. Responsible in winter months for overseeing ski/snowboard rental shop and providing daily maintenance on OAC ski equipment as well as personally owned ski equipment. Ski shop duties include but are not limited to edging/waxer and boot dryer. Responsible for setting up large pieces of rental equipment such as bounce houses, dunk tanks, trailers, tables, canopies, rock walls, etc. Orders equipment and supplies and assist with monthly inventory counts. Provides management with monthly low on supply and maintenance items needed for operation of equipment. Operates forklift to move pallets and rental equipment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge and skill in the use of lawn garden equipment; boats and trailers; camping, ski and recreation industry. Ability to set-up large pieces of rental equipment to include, but not limited to lawn and garden equipment; boats and trailers; canopies, bounce houses/inflatables. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and be certified on a variety of equipment. Lift and carry heavy objects in excess of 50 lbs. Must be able to complete a pre-employment physical.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
