Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Tier 1: This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

Inclement Weather Essential: Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
Mission Essential: In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
May work outside of core hours to manage schedules in inclement weather situations, command directed taskings, and/ or actions that impact/ delay delivery of patient care.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) assisting with administrative policies, programs or operations related to health care delivery utilizing automated systems to enter and retrieve data; (2) extracting and analyzing data from a variety of medical information systems; (3) assisting with the preparation of various data reports, proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; (4) analytic skills and familiarization using analytical tools such as the Defense Health Agency healthcare metrics. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree a major in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
