Duties

Help

Major duties and responsibilities are summarized below.

Performs administrative and clerical work in support of the Military & Family Readiness Center (MFRC) operations and programs. Receives telephone calls and visitors, routes and files correspondence, and maintains files. Assists customers, answers non-technical requests for information, and refers individuals and families to consultants and/or other divisions and agencies as appropriate. Schedules appointments and meetings and coordinates. Compiles data, statistics, and reports in support of program operations and effectiveness. Oversees customer's utilization of MFRC's resources and provides necessary training.

One year clerical/office experience with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined above. Must be skilled in the use of personal computer and various software programs such as the internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Must be able to type by touch with speed and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

This position is basically and primarily sedentary. Must be able to file and retrieve documents from filing cabinets up to shoulder level. Assist with packing, filing and retrieving files weighing up to 30 pounds. May be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.

May be required to possess a valid driver's license, as travel to other facilities may be required within the normal scope of duties. Applicants will be notified when this is a requirement for appointment.
