Duties

Help
  • You will provide personnel program management and authoritative advice on all matters relating to manpower/manning/civilian personnel programs.
  • You will provide leadership through personal contacts and development of personal relationship with a wide variety of staffs and offices of a joint staff.
  • You will advise the leadership/staff on all matters pertaining to relationships and interactions between all interested organizations and parties.
  • You will provide advice to senior management officials on manpower/manning programs requirements, execution and accomplishments.
  • You will serve as communications conduit between staff, facilitating two-way communications vital to Support of mission readiness and execution requirements.
  • You will perform ongoing coordination as needed with various offices with the goal of ensuring understanding and appreciation for the mission, operations, and accomplishments.
  • You will serve as the primary specialist and consultant to management on all manpower/manning matters with independent responsibility for resolving controversial, complex and very difficult types of problem cases.
  • You will plan, develop, and coordinate, integrate, and implement strategies and investment program approaches to command initiatives to include strategic budget planning.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience anticipating and meeting the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Experience delivering high-quality products and services and is committed to continuous improvement.
  • Experience demonstrating skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
  • Experience and knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.
  • Experience providing the strategic planning, execution, management, and oversight for business-related operations (e.g., budget development and execution analyses; business development; corporate-level management of contract proposals; corporate-level support agreements; facilities and logistics management; administrative management).
  • Experience developing networks and building alliance and collaborating across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
