Duties

Help
  • Plans, directs and produces theater production programs.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and recommends improvements or new programming techniques.
  • Coordinates logistical support for productions to include personnel, supplies and equipment.
  • Develops and conducts class instruction on related program activities, i.e., interpretation, set and costume design, staging, voice projection, etc.
  • Supervises assigned staff.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation to include checks for recurring contact with children.
  • This position may require a health screening due to the lifting requirement of 50Lbs. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in assisting with planning, directing and producing theatrical productions.
  2. Experience with evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements or new programming techniques.
  3. Ability to coordinate logistical support for productions to include personnel, supplies and equipment.
  4. Ability to coordinate marketing and publicity with appropriate services personnel.
  5. Ability to develop and conduct class instruction on related program activities, i.e., interpretation, set and costume design, staging, voice projection, etc
Highly Preferred Criteria:
  • Possess one (1) year experience in repair alternations, cleaning and storage of costumes and theatrical warehouse.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
