Duties

Help
  • You will perform required analysis, recommend changes in current policies, programs and procedures, to improve security, safety, efficiency / effectiveness of operations in the near and long-term.
  • You will plan, organize, and direct efforts to maintain the Fuel Department's information systems network.
  • You will perform a variety of assignments in the analysis, implementation, management, and maintenance of Fuel Department information systems, security systems, repair projects, and other critical programs supporting the operations.
  • You will serve as a Fuel Department Representative and Project Manager to liaison with outside contracting agencies to facilitate and manage sustainment, repair, and maintenance projects, not limited to automated systems / applications.
  • You will analyze, evaluate, and provide recommendations on major aspects of projects, develop the plan and specifications for carrying out the recommendations, identify specific data elements to be used, and develop program layouts / sequences.
  • You will manage and audit the Fuel Department's Lock Out/Tag Out Program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying management, system analysis and design techniques to perform required analysis, develop innovative solutions and recommendations and develop design specifications for new and revised systems and procedures affecting all aspects of the Fuel distribution operations. Applying a knowledge of Fuel systems, policies and procedures in order to maintain a total system perspective when performing analysis and design. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) knowledge of commercial off-the-shelf security systems to include camera hardware/software and security access software programs in order to develop, implement and maintain the systems; 2) Knowledge of program management and planning techniques in order to translate long range goals to specific projects and integrate information technology to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and resolve problems; and 3) knowledge of the fuel distribution systems and systems hardware/software requirements in order to advise users and management on new developments and advance technologies and concepts.
