Duties

Help
  • Serve as the working leader over the maintenance section. Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance to procedures, methods and specifications according to manufacturers technical specifications.
  • Repairs and maintains a variety of gasoline/diesel powered equipment such as boats, campers, etc. Performs repairs such as changing fuel and oil filters, hydraulic repairs, replacing belts and hoses, etc. Repairs may also involve some welding.
  • Uses a variety of test equipment such as equipment analyzers, electric chargers, compression testers, micrometers, and electric circuit testers. Also uses such tools as welders, drill presses, pneumatic riveting tools, drill saw, etc.
  • Identifies maintenance problems through periodic checks or when equipment is brought in for repair or service. Maintains records of inventory and repairs performed. Establishes a preventive maintenance scheduling for all recreational equipment.
  • Waits on customers, by checking identification, issuing equipment, assisting and providing information at time of issue on proper care, use, and responsibility of equipment. Inspects equipment for cleanliness, damages and proper operation.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must be able to work a schedule that includes working weekends and holidays.
  • Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending and working in awkward positions.
  • Applicant must be able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required.
