Duties

Help

Supports/executes the brand of the 6th Force Support Squadron's marketing/publicity program. Develops/maintains 6 FSS Website, digital content, social media content, assists with marketing collateral creation, surveys, graphics, photography/video and campaigns. Serves as primary Web and digital content administrator ensuring content is organized, current and accurate, site is functional and operational 24/7; Updates, adds, deletes, revises content from information provided by leadership, flight chiefs and activity managers on a daily basis. Creates, writes, edits, designs content for digital publishing and print. Designs/develops multi-platform digital interactive multimedia and graphics content with non-digital media, site animation, GIFs, live streaming, and special effect elements on various platforms. Explores, recommends, uses, and optimizes communication methods/technologies to engage customers and to maximize branding, products and services. Performs web search data analysis and user analytics/statistics. Works with Marketing Director to ensure digital content meets squadron mission objectives, properly reflecting AF standards. Photographs major programs/events. Procures supplies; provides expense input for program requirements. Maintains files for photographic/publicity historic reference. Works with AF Agencies governing web content/security to ensure regulations/DoD guidelines are met. Uses a variety of web, social media, multimedia, and graphics platforms, applications, plugins, apps and tools. Keeps abreast of Air Force instructions, manuals, guidance covering publicity; ensures licenses, registrations, clearances for website are current and in compliance. Creates/administers interactive forms, surveys, focus groups, collects data and analyzes results. Participates/assists at events. Performs administrative/purchases, researches products/services; may be GPC or P-card holder. Stays abreast of upgrades in software, industry trends and standards. Job may also require driving government vehicles to perform various duties.

Qualifying Experience:
BS degree in Web design, marketing, communications and design is desirable. Must have a thorough understanding of Web and digital media technologies, enabling comprehensive, exacting website design, maintenance/operation and knowledge of programming language. Must possess superior reading, writing, and comprehensive skills. Demonstrable working knowledge of fundamental marketing communication and ability to understand marketing strategies, concepts and campaign objectives. Skilled in developing media materials and knowledge of a wide range of visual communication, illustration, graphics, media, perspective, design, layout principles, balance/contrast and concepts for conception, planning and execution of a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in both PC and MAC. Must possess experience and education which progressively demonstrates responsible administrative, professional, technical expertise involving websites. Experience with Word Press, Adobe CC Suites, Microsoft Office Suites, Acrobat Pro, Power point, Adobe Premier, Apple i-Movie, Google Analytics, META and other design/visual software, video editing and other applications. Must possess excellent oral/written communication skills. Efficient with DSLR cameras/video operation and production, tablets, smart phones, computers, printers and other production equipment. Experience/education must have equipped applicant with knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of this position.
