Duties

Help
  • You will perform as group leader providing technical and administrative guidance to a subordinate staff in the kitting and production of Expeditionary Medical Systems platforms.
  • You will provide information to the supervisor concerning performance, progress, training and other needs of employees.
  • You will plan and coordinates work operations on a daily, monthly, quarterly, or project basis.
  • You will establish and adjust long-range priorities, workload schedules and deadlines for work assignments.
  • You will perform logistics management functions such as pre-production, production/kitting, material stowage, download (un-kitting) of returned/used equipment sets, and supply/logistics data base updates and documentation requirements.
  • You will perform surveillance over a wide range of material and equipment to be packed and deployed with dissimilar supply operations and services.
  • You will identify potential and/or existing problem areas, and maintain a system which provides adequate control of production efforts from pre- production through post production and services provided throughout production operations.
  • You will perform database updates/analysis to multiple logistics accounting systems in support of production operations.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to operate and/or obtain a license for material handling equipment (MHE) to include forklifts, manual pallet jacks, etc.
  • A favorable Tier 3 background investigation is required for all Non-Critical Sensitive (NCS) positions with access to network systems and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Utilizing logistics database systems to support production operations, material inventory and accountability and shelf-life management;
  • Identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees within a production environment to ensure established timelines are met;
  • Using Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Integrated Logistics Overhaul (ILO) functions and processes, (i.e., principles, concepts and methodology of production operations including all logistics elements and their interrelationships and controlling documents required to ensure successful production operations);
  • Generating reports and working systems to track and manage assets, including accountable property, throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposition (e.g., Accountable Property System of Record (APSR), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) or like databases to aid/assist w/ core functionalities such as property accountability, maintenance tracking, and reporting; and
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point) to integrate logistics information into reports, presentations and spreadsheets.

Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided the education demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:

Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., if related to the position
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
