Duties

Help

Designs and develops a variety of publicity materials promoting FSS programs and activities. Using graphics design software, Adobe Suite, designs and executes visual materials for FSS facilities to include electronic media, commercial print, and website designs. Develops layout, design, selection of photos and artwork for marketing projects to include social media campaigns. Provides photographic, audio and video support for the wide range of online and print communications efforts for FSS to include events, programs, and facilities. Ensures appropriate lighting and setting, color correction. editing rough cuts of video and sound for professional quality images and video. Must have experience preparing images and other files for delivery both in electronic and printed for to include YouTube, Facebook, lnstagram, etc. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, responsible for management of the social media properties associated with the 56th FSS. At the guidance of the Marketing Director, manages the social media profile and presence. Keeps up to date on emergent trends, platforms, and overall changes to the social media landscape. Develops and manages the marketing content calendar. Partners with marketing team to develop and execute both planned and real time contents for squadron activities and services. Moderates' community interaction with content; responds in a timely manner; escalates when appropriate.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Show administrative and/or technical work which has provided the knowledge of general graphic design. In addition, applicant must have specialized experience which must demonstrate the ability to plan and implement design from start to finish. Must be proficient in a wide variety of software applications such as Adobe Photoshop, lndesign, Illustrator, word processing and other software. Must have experience and ability to plan, organize, and coordinate audio, photography, and videography projects. Must have full proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro. Must have experience shooting and editing footage from scratch. Experience and knowledge of shooting video and photos with DSLR cameras. Must have administrative and/or professional social media experience that demonstrates the ability to perform successfully at the grade-level of this position. Must possess familiarity with major social media and social networking platforms including Facebook and lnstagram.


Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
