Duties

Help
  • You will oversee the operations of the Security Department during periods when the Installation Security Officer (ISO), Deputy ISO, or other leadership are either unavailable or not on station.
  • You will respond to and investigates complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations.
  • You will Perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer, and must be qualified/certified in these specialized areas and on the necessary equipment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; 2) Performing hostage rescue, building and stairway operations, entry, search, and movement; 3) Directing the work of an organizational unit engaged in providing law enforcement services to a military installation; 4) Interviewing witnesses, takes statements, secures crime scenes, seizes and protects evidence, drafts reports, creates incident diagrams, and provides direction to other civilian and/or military law enforcement personnel as required; 5) Providing input and recommendations to leadership on operational requirements, the deployment of effective counter measures, personnel, equipment, and resources needed to ensure an effective security program is provided to the installation.
