Duties

Help

  • Manages Information Tickets and Travel (ITT) operations/activities to maximum efficiency and economic return of investment(s).
  • Interprets higher-level directives and develops procedures/guidelines to ensure high standards in recreational/promotional programs.
  • Oversees the establishment, review, and evaluation of ticket sales and analysis of market trends to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Serves as the ITT liaison and negotiates group pricing for admission/travel for sporting events, tours, concerts, and performing arts venues.
  • Assists unit leadership in the establishment of financial goals, budget preparation, and analysis of financial results of ITT operations.
  • Coordinates with the Marketing Office to prepare advertisements and maximize publicity of ITT initiatives to base populace.
  • Supervises the Point-of-Sale Cash Register System, programming new tickets, correcting errors, and producing reports as required.
  • Uses government-approved purchasing methods to procure tickets from vendors.
  • Responsible for purchasing and maintaining physical ticket inventory.
  • Researches and edits information on the local area and surrounding points of interest to provide customers with current information.
  • Operates various software programs to create advertising fliers, brochures, and materials for distribution and bulletin boards.
  • Generates correspondence with internal and external agencies via methods such as e-mails, memorandums, letters, and faxes.
  • Responsible for balancing ITT accounts as required per applicable directives and coordinating sales balances with the finance office and all vendors and attractions to certify expenditures.
  • Maintains program records and receipts in an orderly fashion to be made available upon request for inspections and financial audits.
  • In the absence of guidance, establishes policies and procedures concerning ITT operations to ensure highest customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assigning escorts for local trips and/or tours to maintain customer accountability and resolve issues as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:

  • Practical knowledge of ITT procedures and the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in computer use to include software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must have knowledge of basic NAF accounting practices and knowledge of cash handling procedures, bank deposits, inventory control, and cash register systems.
  • Prior customer service experience is required.
  • Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Experience which has provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures for the ticket and travel operation.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
