Duties

Help
  • You will assist in the performance of functions such as formulation of budget and estimates, review and evaluate budget requests, and control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
  • You will provide information about and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
  • You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems, analytical, forecasting and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
  • You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

*Experience applying knowledge and skill of the functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and funding sources sufficient to related needs and accomplishments to anticipated or actual dollar figures.
*Experience working independently on routine continuing assignments.
*Experience applying knowledge of the policies, precedents, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area such as financial oversight, budget formulation, and/or budget execution.
*Experience analyzing and evaluating changes in program plans and funding and/or budgetary relationships.

GS-7:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

*Experience applying knowledge of and skill in the functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and funding sources sufficient to related needs and accomplishments to anticipated or actual dollar figures.
*Experience applying knowledge of the commonly used budgetary, accounting, and/or financial administration practices, procedures, regulations and policies of the organization.
*Experience applying a practical knowledge of the mission, function, goals and objectives of the organization.
*Experience analyzing and interpreting sources information and applying it to specific areas of work.

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience

GS-7:
