As an Engagement Administrative Operations Assistant, AC-0303-2, your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Manage projects or work activities, considering requirements, priorities, timelines, interdependencies, and constraints to complete assigned work within deadlines.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, or documents ensuring correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and appropriate format.
  • Receive visitors and phone calls, determine nature of requests, and refer callers or visitors to appropriate staff. Answer routine questions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare local, domestic, and foreign travel arrangements based on general travel intentions, known preferences of traveler and in accordance with travel regulations.
  • Establish administrative documents and files in accordance with records management policies and procedures.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the AC-II level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band AC-II / GS-7 level (or equivalent) in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:

  • Manages projects by setting priorities to ensure successful completion of assignments within established deadlines;
  • Manages and coordinates executive calendars, schedule appointment, and organize meetings on behalf of supervisor; AND
  • Retrieves and dispatches documents/messages to ensure timely and accurate routing of correspondence.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
