Duties

Help

Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of Marina facilities. Assists customers by providing information and services offered. Policies and procedures for use of facilities and assisting with resale and rental operations. Takes reservations and accepts payment for services. Assists customers with resale merchandise. Determines customer needs, describes features and benefits of various makes/models of equipment, checks proper fit, etc. Places special orders, rings up sales, and processes payments. Assists customers with rental equipment in accordance with established safety standards and regulations. Checks condition of equipment upon return. Completes required forms, and takes required action for repairs. Assists customers with equipment requiring servicing or repairs, conducts routine servicing or repairs, and completes maintenance records. Receives, verifies, and stocks resale merchandise. Displays and replenishes merchandise on sales floor and notifies supervisor when stock needs to be re-ordered. Complies with cash accountability, inventory control and resource protection requirements. Plans, organizes, sets up and carries out recurring activities and assists with planning and carrying out special events. Monitors and maintains cleanliness around the facility and reports hazards or unsafe practices to supervisor. Takes steps to post or issue notices. Prepare and secure facilities due to adverse weather conditions and assists with clean up. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have customer service experience which required face-to-face and over the phone assistance. Cash handling experience is required. Must have ability to communicate both orally, in writing, and in group settings. Must have basic computer skills. Ability to communicate in Japanese is highly desirable. Must be physically mobile and be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.


Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
