About the position:
This position will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron Bowling Center.

Physical requirements: must be able to lift and carry parts and assemblies weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally may push and pull larger assemblies weighing up to 100 pounds. Exposed to high noise levels while working on equipment. Exposed to noise, dust, grease, chemical solvents, and possibility of cuts, bruises, abrasions, and electrical shock.

Duties

Help

  • Responsible for the economic and efficient operation of the bowling center, workforce supervision, recruitment and training.
  • Works to implement higher level directives, makes recommendations for improved food and beverage service, develops promotional programs to increase participation.
  • Develops annual budget and forecasts financial planning items to include sales, programs, tournaments and capital requirements.
  • Manages real property resources and acts as building custodian responsible for development of minor and major construction projects.
  • Interviews and hires, prepares work schedules, discipline, trains and evaluates employees.
  • Maintains accurate records and responsible for preparation & control of daily reports to include daily deposits, supporting paperwork, opening and closing procedures.
  • Continually evaluates effectiveness & appeal of programmed activities through observation & statistical data.
  • Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and problems.
  • Organizes and schedules open and league bowling.
  • Conducts bowling instruction courses.
  • Ensures maintenance and preventative maintenance are performed on all bowling related equipment.
  • Responsible for conducting inventory or equipment/supplies and ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  • Install, adjusts, repairs, overhauls and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hole bores, game machines and lane maintenance machines.
  • Conditions, maintains and repairs bowling pins and lanes.
  • Repairs cracks, chips and splinters using wood and plastic lane stock, and sanding recoating surfaces.
  • Initiates request for spare parts, supplies and hand equipment.

Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained in operations, administrative or managerial position, which included responsibility for various phases of operations, such as, facility/equipment management. Specialized experience in a bowling facility which provides basic knowledge of bowling programs, procedures, and rules, and which provided an in-depth knowledge of the operations of at least one of the functions of a bowling facility. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles and operation characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment. Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals.

Education
