Designs, maintains, and updates databases and spreadsheets with formulas for data collection and analysis as needed and directed to measure accuracies, efficiency, meet regulatory requirements, performance improvement process or key metrics.
Develops systems to compile and analyze statistical data to assess program effectiveness.
Develops, prepares, and obtains statistical and narrative input on assigned programs in support of management reports/review and analysis/suspense actions.
Ensures reports are provided for data quality and makes optimum use of patient cancelled appointments.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
This position required a pre-employment physical.
This position may require light lifting up to 15 pounds.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing administrative or clinical management in a health care environment; 2) analyzing health care information to evaluate and/or recommend improvements for the effectiveness or efficiency of health care services; 3) providing administrative or technical oversight to subordinate staff members; 4) providing management advice on matters pertaining to coordinating personnel matters in a medical treatment facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
