Help
  • Responsible for handling inbound customer inquiries and accounts management.
  • Keeps APS management, program managers, and the sales and marketing manager; keep abreast of any significant customer problems or issues.
  • Manage the Federal customers in various assigned territories.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Business Development Specialist, PG -1101-11/12, you must meet the following requirements:

To minimally qualify for the PG-11 you must have one year of specialized experience at the PG-09 (or equivalent) level or higher.

The specialized experience for the GS-11:

The specialized experience includes 1) communicate orally with customers internally and externally; 2) utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage client data and relationships And 3) experience in business-to-business or business-to-government marketing processes.


OR

A Ph.D or equivalent docotoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such degree or LLM., if related.

OR

Combination of education and the specialized experience.

To minimaly qualifiy for the PG-12 you must have one year of specialized experience at the PG-11 (or equivalent) level or higher.

PG-12 the specialized experience:

The specialized experience includes 1) communicate orally with customers internally and externally; 2) utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage client data and relationships And 3) experience in business-to-business or business-to-government marketing processes.
4) Demonstrable success in account management and customer service AND 5) Facilitate printing for online industries for various programs.

There is no Education Substitution for the PG-1654-12


Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Background Investigation:

For a Suitability:
To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the GPO requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy; this position requires a background investigation for Suitability. To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully complete a background check for Suitability. This review could include fingerprints and credit checks, as well as a full field FBI background investigation and tax and bar checks for attorney applicants. The background investigation covers a period of seven to ten years depending on the nature of the position; this process may take 6 weeks or longer. The Agency may rescind the tentative offer, if the candidate is unable to pass the background investigation.
