Duties

Help

The purpose of this position is to serve food, preselected and ordered by arrangement, for banquets, ceremonies and other group events.

  • Set up and tear down for events, to include, but not limited to: secure linen, glassware and silverware for table settings, arrange room to event specifications, insure all cutlery and linens are spotless and condiment containers are filled, remove dirty dishes from table.
  • Follows specific instructions and time schedules for food and beverage service, transports food and beverages from kitchen and bar for table and buffet service.
  • Refills food and beverages as needed.
  • Clean preparation area, kitchen and dining room as needed and may be responsible for dishwashing and other cleaning tasks.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Required to complete a favorable Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Required to work shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • Required to complete Food Handlers Training and other required training within 30 days of appointment and other required training.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
