Duties

Help
  • Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.
  • Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Receives and checks quantity and description of stock.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work irregular hours to include Federal holidays, weekends, and evenings.
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, regularly lift and carry items up to 20lbs, and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40lbs.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at time of appointment (projected appointment date: 04/24/2025)., AND
  • ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds., AND
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate bills and make change., AND
  • ability to recognize shortages of supplies and replace them as necessary., AND
  • ability to mix drinks using alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages., AND
  • ability to recognize and handle intoxicated patrons., AND
  • ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.

  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
