Duties

Help
  • Works under general supervision of the bowling facility manager. Performs routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical bowling equipment, components and assemblies.
  • Adjusts equipment in accordance with guidance provided by and identifies potential malfunctions to the Bowling Equipment Repairer. Assists the Bowling Equipment Repairer in making repairs, adjusting equipment and related duties.
  • Cleans and maintains the bowling facility by replacing light bulbs; makes minor repairs to vacuum cleaners, buffers, etc.; scrubs, washes and polishes floors, walls and other surfaces; assists in stocking inventory, etc.
  • Recognizes and reports malfunctions. Performs routine duties without directions. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. Moves large items weighing up to 100 pounds. Works in awkward positions. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Be able to lift and carry large items weighing up to 100 pounds.
2. Possess work experience or training in the use of electrical test equipment and wiring diagrams.
3. Be physically able to work for extended periods of time in cramped and awkward positions.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is indoors. Work area is usually noisy. May be required to wear protective clothing.

  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Incentives and bonuses:
  • Incentives will not be paid.
