As Executive Director for Planning, Analysis, and Requirements Evaluation (PARE), in Operations Support (OS), at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), you will work with the Executive Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner, OS, in carrying out CBP's priority border security mission to safeguard America's borders. You will oversee multiple divisions: CBP STAT; Enterprise Analytics; Integrated Planning and Requirements; and Operational Field Testing. You will work closely with senior leaders on program analyses, data analytics, evaluations, strategic planning, and risk management.
You will direct complex planning, evaluation, and analysis services that are responsive, consistent, predictable, and repeatable, ensuring both executive and programmatic accountability among subordinate offices in pursuit of CBP's mission and customer service excellence. You will:
Lead CBP's strategic planning process, focused on addressing organizational priorities and challenges at all levels of the organization, alignment of critical program initiatives, identification of required resources, and facilitation and implementation of advisory and assistance services for executive leadership.
Lead the analysis and review of CBP programs and activities through a review of research and reports initiated by other organizational elements. Evaluate program recommendations in terms of their impact on broad program goals and direction, as articulated in CBP strategic planning and priorities documentation.
Lead the development and execution of the agency's data analytics function, including modeling and simulation capabilities, and management of specific projects identified by CBP leadership.
Lead the implementation of capabilities-based approaches to identify operationalrequirements that allow for efficient and effective acquisition of operational needs and advance efforts to streamline acquisition requirements.
Position Designation: This position is designated as Career Reserved.
Probationary Period: You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you previously completed the probationary period in the SES.

Additional information
Relocation Bonus: CBP may authorize a relocation bonus (not to exceed 25% of basic pay) for an eligible selectee. A service agreement would be required.
Relocation Expenses: We may choose to pay your relocation expenses in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
Travel: Overnight travel may be required on a regular basis (25% or less).
Leave: You will earn 26 vacation days and 13 days of sick leave per year. In addition, the Government observes 11 regular paid holidays each year.
Background Investigation: This is a sensitive position and the tentative selectee must undergo and successfully complete a background investigation as a condition of placement/ retention in the position. A Top-Secret security clearance will be required upon appointment
