Help
  • Works with peers and project officers to develop criteria for program evaluation.
  • Makes official presentations of analyses and evaluation.
  • Interprets guidance from higher headquarters relative to program evaluation activities.
  • Develops procedures, standards, and methods for collecting, data
  • Writes queries to extract information, generates reports, and troubleshoots system problems or data discrepancies.
  • Coordinates with top management as well as division and office chiefs to develop procedures
  • Analysis and evaluations indicate variances from programmed accomplishments or costs, reasons for variances
  • Makes recommendations for remedial action to higher authority.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Experience required for GS-07: Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including: Research and analyze data, and recommend ways to improve efficiency of work operations in a program setting. Knowledge of government purchase card programs, as well as time and attendance programs. Experience in tracking inventory such as supplies or equipment.(GS-05).

Experience required for GS-09: Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including: Monitoring manpower programs and coordinating with the appropriate directorate to correct errors. Preparing reports and tracking statistical data and other records used in the performance of assigned duties. Knowledge of pertinent manpower laws and regulations. (GS-07).

Experience required for GS-11: Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including: Experience providing guidance and support to managers in management manpower programs which consists of manpower analysis, productivity enhancements, cost benefits analysis; time and attendance programs, Defense Travel System utilizing automated personnel systems to access or to run programs and in retrieving data and files; and displaying practical knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices related to civilian human resources. Time in Grade Requirement for GS-7: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-05 grade level (or equivalent).

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-9: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-07 grade level (or equivalent).

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-09 grade level (or equivalent).

Successful completion of one (1) full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Superior academic achievement for GS-07:
I have successfully completed all the requirements for a bachelor's degree and am claiming Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled. Superior Academic Achievement is based on: (1) Class Standing - You must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR (2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - You must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR (3) Honor Society Membership - You may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies (https://www.achsnatl.org/). Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. Combination of Experience and Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-09: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 18 hours (total semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.

Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

Combination of Experience and Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-11: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 36 hours (total semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.
