Serves as a Budget Analyst for assigned Appropriated Fund (APF) and/or Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) programs. As a team member, works under the guidance of and provides assistance to a higher-level analyst or supervisor by using required/applicable automation software/hardware to perform analytical, technical, and administrative tasks required during phases of the budgetary and execution process for an assigned portion of the CFSC operating budget.
Assists in the development of reporting requirements for the preparation, collection, justification, and submission of budgetary data. Reviews, analyzes, edits, and consolidates budget submissions for assigned activities.
Monitors the execution of approved budgets, to include obligations, expenditures and/or income.
Assists with the overall issuance of APF/NAF execution reports and maintaining the financial integrity of applicable databases/financial information.
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Knowledge of basic principles and practices of budget formulations in order to prepare written funding justifications, consolidate budget requests, request additional funds, and monitor expenditures against obligations for specified programs.
Skill in balancing funds between accounts; i.e., transferring funds between line items or sub-projects or identifying excess funds for possible transfer to other operating programs.

HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
1) Working experience with Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) programs and activities.
2) Working experience processing financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.).
3) Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
