Duties

Help

  • Serves as Hotel Manager with responsibility for directing all phases of a lodging that has 50-600 rooms and suites in an international environment.
  • Develop plans and procedures for facility administration, operations and quality assurance.
  • Establish operational polity in all areas of the facility.
  • Develop and maintain responsibility for execution of the five-year capital expenditure budget.
  • Supervises subordinate hotel managers and supervisors (US and Host-Nation (HN) employees).

  • A probation period of one year may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.

Qualifications

One (1) year of progressive supervisory, business or hotel management work experience that demonstrates the ability and skill to perform the following the duties of a Hotel Manager listed below. (Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the NF-03 level).

  • Directing all phases of a lodging property having 50-600 rooms and suites.
  • Develop plans and procedures for facility administration, operations and quality assurance.
  • Establish operational policy in all areas of the facility.
  • Develop and maintain responsibility for execution of the five-year capital expenditure budget.
To include, excellent organizational skills, and high skilled in written and verbal communications, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

HIGHLY PREFERRED.
Highly preferred candidates are those who possess a Bachelor's Degree in hospitality management and work experience in the field of hospitality management.
OR
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in hotel management AND one of the following:
1. Certification as a departmental hospitality manager (i.e. CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator), CHS (Certified Hospitality Supervisory), or CRDE (Certified Rooms Division Executive)).
2. Possess the Army Lodging Certificate in Advanced Hospitality management.
3. Possess an associate degree in hospitality management.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
PCS Costs Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) will be paid in accordance with (IAW) the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR). An eligibility review will take place for positions receiving LQA, in order to determine eligibility.
  • Post Allowance may be paid in accordance with the DSSR.
