Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, audit, and analyze data and information related to the space and facilities throughout the circuit.
  • Assist with the management of occupancy agreements and related customer documents.
  • Evaluate and monitor current leases and customer communications. Initiate actions to begin the lease renewal process, space expansions, space alterations, and intentions to vacate.
  • Analyze real estate market trends and risk as well as complex contracts.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of housing plans.
  • Assist in developing consolidations, relocations, or other changes to housing plans.
  • Track and report funding deviations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

Must be a citizen of the United States or meet requirements for compensation under current law. Positions with the U.S. Courts are Excepted Service appointments, meaning they are at will and can be terminated with or without cause by the Court. Employees are subject to The Judicial Code of Ethics and Conduct, which is available to applicants for review upon request. All applicant information is subject to verification. The appointment to the position is provisional pending a suitability determination by the Court based on the results of an FBI background check that includes fingerprinting. Employees are required to use Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for payroll deposits.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of full-time specialized experience in real estate portfolio operations and project administration that includes an understanding of development requirements, specifications, and cost estimations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, develop cost/price analyses, and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Understanding of commercial property management, leasing practices, real estate market conditions, and industry standards related to acquiring or managing space.

  • Exceptional ability to self-manage, work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and in cross-department environments, and to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work well with professional legal staff and court personnel.
  • Occasional travel within the Circuit may be required for evaluating space needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in or working knowledge of the federal Judiciary with two (2) years of full-time experience related to the Circuit Rent Budget Program implementation, including expertise in reviewing and approving occupancy agreements.
  • Experience in or working knowledge of the federal General Services Administration organization and their regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Project.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related real estate field.
