About the Position: The Incumbent will serve as the traffic management specialist in the Defense Transportation Tracking System (DTTS) emergency operations center.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
The incumbent may be required to work nonstandard duty hours (e.g., shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime-both scheduled and unscheduled.
This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
During a national emergency or mobilization, this "Key" position cannot be vacated as it's crucial for organizational function. The incumbent must be exempt from active duty recall and trained to sustain base operations.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
