Advance and support the Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control program to ensure the organization achieves strategic objectives, meets federal and DoD requirements, and improves operational performance.
Analyze and evaluate (on a qualitative and quantitative basis) the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives to provide advice and recommendations to leaders.
Identify problems and risks, and apply varied fact-finding and decision-making techniques to analyze, compare, and select optimal courses of action that weigh competing objectives; develop and present detailed plans as solutions to decision makers.
Build trust, collaborate, and share information across organizational boundaries to achieve shared understanding; anticipate and plan for friction points, delays, and stakeholders’ needs to ensure project and program objectives are met.
Develop reports and deliver presentations to make recommendations that improve performance and persuade broad audiences with diverse backgrounds; influence Component staff to provide timely and complete work products and improve business processes.
Design, propose, and conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection; cleanse and analyze data to investigate trends or anomalies, identify patterns, and draw useful conclusions.
Position has been designated as Special Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.

Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is defined for GS12 as: 52 weeks as a GS-11 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service performing the following:
1) formulating work products as part of a cross functional team at the organizational/agency-level to produce agency-level documents, presentations, and reports
2) effectively working in risk management and internal control to advance the effectiveness of an agency's business operations
3) collecting and analyzing data using quantitative and qualitative methods
4) collaborating across boundaries at the organizational/agency-level to build relationships, achieve common goals, provide well-written quality products, and resolve problems
5) identifying organizational change initiatives that improve business processes and assisting leadership to obtain approval for those initiatives
Specialized Experience is defined for GS13 as: 52 weeks as a GS-12 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service performing the following:
1) leading cross functional teams at the organizational/agency-level to produce agency-level documents, presentations, and reports
