Multiple - Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Extensions may be possible in accordance with guidance on the job announcement.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Incumbent must obtain Ammo-62 Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials Certification within 6 months of appointment into position and complete the Recertification Training every 2 years.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include
Compute rates and routes for domestic and international shipments;
Maintain shipment charge records or review for accuracy;
Determine mode of transportation for ammunition items for most efficient rates and routes;
Perform audit of freight bills for correctness and conduct investigations for shipment errors; and
Prepare reports for loss or damaged property and reports for inventory discrepancies.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level GS-08 or second lower grade GS-07 level position in the federal service.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
