CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Compatible Military Assignment and Grade are required. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. Military technicians must hold the military grade specified for the position.

Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance.
Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards.
Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must be mission-ready qualified as a Crew Commander in the Counter-Communication System and able to direct an operations crew in providing non-kinetic effects.
Qualifications
General Experience: Possessexperience which provides a working knowledge of the navigation systems and navigational instruments of the assigned airframe.
WEAPON SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (INSTRUCTOR), GS-2183-13: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 level demonstrated by: experience, education or training that required obtaining information on type of mission, weather, and intelligence data, and special instructions; experience preparing navigation flight plans; experience that provided a knowledge of proper readings and operations of navigational systems; Validated ability to test and inspect the operation of compasses, navigation systems, or radio and radar equipment; experience utilizing various navigational methods and aids to accomplish flying missions; experience computing the effect of various factors during flight to establish present course and project balance of course and ability to train, evaluate and certify proficiency and competency of lower graded personnel; validated completion of the necessary hours required for applicants' current airframe. (ex. 1000 hours total navigation time which includes 200 hours' time in the C-130) plus certification as a qualified Navigator Instructor.

Must possess certification as a qualified Navigator Instructor. Failure to upload will result in automatic disqualification.
