Duties

Help

As an Information Technology Specialist (Applications Software), you will:

  • Lead major application projects, e.g., installation of new operating environments or implementation of new application system patches, upgrades, and releases.
  • Create, leverage, and manage content types, site columns and templates for re-use in the sites.
  • Manage The OFR's intranet site and reviews periodically.
  • Plan, design, develop, and implement secure, cost-effective IT solutions that best satisfy user needs and that are consistent with Federal and Department of Treasury guidelines and standards.
  • Perform installation, analysis, development, customization, testing, and implementation of IT solutions in the operating environment; and work with vendor engineers to correct problems and enhance performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the OR-60 (GS-14): For the OR-60, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the OR-53 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
-Hands-on developer experience with the ServiceNow platform, including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Workspace, ServiceNow Portal; AND
-Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS) Application Programming Interfaces (API), Okta, SharePoint); AND
-Experience with ServiceNow User Experience (UX) framework, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Glide classes; AND
-Experience recommending improvements in development processes, documenting and adhering to best practices.


The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed
below.
