Prepare Journal Vouchers document the reason for the adjustment, indicate the effected General Ledger Accounts and maintain supporting documentation for a detailed audit trail.
Run daily and non-daily accounting reports in STARS-FL in accordance with BUMED and DHA Standard Operating Procedures (Daily and Non-Daily Accounting), analyze, research, correct and maintain documentation for audit.
Review, analyze and report on the Monthly Third-Party Outpatient and Inpatient reports which contain detailed listing of monthly collections based on the Navy Medicine Allowances Calculation Tool.
Using various automated data systems with local, client-server and web-based architectures to perform reporting duties both internally within the directorate and command, and externally to agency headquarters, other agencies, and the public.
Coordinate with timekeeping customer service representatives (CSRs) to perform bi-weekly payroll reconciliation between Gross Master Pay File and US Standard General Ledger (USSGL), to monitor, validate and resolve discrepancies.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position. The Incumbent must obtain Level 2 Financial Management Certification within 2 Years of entrance on duty.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
