Duties

Help
  • Develops, maintains, plans, and administers Recreation programs, activities, and facilities. Provides guidance and leadership to all recreation branch staff. Performs full range of supervisory duties.
  • Manages and develops plans for Recreational Programs (e.g., Multi and Auto Crafts, BOSS, etc). Devises, improvises, and adapts these various activities to fit the conditions of soldier needs, funds, facilities, equipment, and staffing.
  • Plans and coordinates the details of recurring and nonrecurring activities, special events, and joint community undertakings. Schedules and publicizes all community recreation events with continual concern for community interests and needs.
  • Budgets for equipment, supplies, and services with appropriated (APF), nonappropriated (NAF), and other available funding needed to accomplish scheduled recreation activities. Updates security, funds, and operational SOPs as needed.
  • Accounts for all funds involved in recreational programs. Develops annual budget requirements with supporting data for inclusion in the CRD budget. Makes changes and recommendations for improvements in funding and program services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Must be willing to work an irregular schedule that may include nights, weekends, special events, or some holidays.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position.

Qualifications


1. Directly related progressive work experience directing one or more recreations programs that provided knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interest of individuals or groups and managerial experience of the caliber described above. Experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay level.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
