Duties

Help
  • You will assist in the performance of functions such as: analysis of support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluation of management requests; development, determination, and interpretation of program policies and practices.
  • You will perform limited studies or assists higher-graded analysis with full scale studies and carries out assignments designed to develop knowledge of management programs, policies, and methods.
  • You will manage and monitor the travel, payroll, travel card, and other database systems within the agency.
  • You will provide customer support and management controls for Civilian Payroll, SLDCADA, EEE Funds, Government Commercial Purchase and Travel Card, and Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • You will prepare preliminary reviews for a few relatively stable programs or program support activities.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining administrative business files in connection with NCIS policies and procedures with case file management, retention, and both case and evidence destruction per NCIS policy.
  • You will be responsible for overall program compliance with policy, procedures and controls.
  • You will serve as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder, responsible for execution of purchases for the agency utilizing the allocated funds to procure goods and services.
  • You will create purchase requests via Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) and conducting monthly reconciliation in US Bank.

  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Special Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience preparing and processing travel requests via Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Experience ulitizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Emergency and Extraordinary Expense Funds and Govt Purchase Card Program.
  • Experience using NCIS Database applications such as CLEOC, VITALs and other case file management databases.
  • Experience conducting research and using analytical techniques to develop reports or presentations.
  • Experience providing management techniques and principles including program evaluation and development, resource management, manning and performing budget analysis and forecasts.
  • Experience resolving complex problems that require innovative thinking, novel solutions, resourcefulness, and ingenuity.
  • Experience using NCIS internal organization and its systems to manage case files, budgets for purchases, travel and other logistical support.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 performing the following:
  • Experience preparing and processing travel requests via Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Experience using Emergency and Extraordinary Expense (EEE) funds.
  • Experience using NCIS Database applications; such as CLEOC, VITALS, and other case file management databases.
  • Experience providing evidence of team leading or project direction preferred but not required.
