Major Duties:

  • Collect, compile, and tracking data and statistical information in support of VTS.
  • Perform basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
  • Review documents, reports and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain automated system of program-specific data to track items.
  • Interact with various transportation services such as Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Volunteer Transportation Network (VTS) etc., and other transportation providers.
  • Coordinate service practices that decrease waits and delays for patients in all specialty areas.
  • Plan for, organizes, administers, and directs how the work will be accomplished for the VTS program.
  • Review workload types in VTS e.g. outpatient clinic visits, surgical admissions.
  • Provide technical and management guidance.
  • Provide advise to operating managers on how to provide services assist in accomplishing their missions and programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE-GS-6: Must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: contacts patients to determine transportation needs and requirements, assists patients and family members in completing necessary paperwork for all arranged transportation and lodging, performs regular reconciliations and adjusting account balances related to special mode transportation services, documents the funds, deposits, and withdraws of patient's personal funds held by the Medical Center during brief and extended periods of hospitalization, coordinates patient transfer to other medical facility ensuring patient arrives on time for admission, and works with multiple computer technology, software and databases to enter data, prepare various correspondence and reports.

Physical Requirements: : Incumbent will be exposed to stressful working situations that require professional attitude and collective reasoning. The incumbent is subject to a high volume of work, the need for accuracy, frequency of interruptions and ever-changing demands due to program changes.
