Duties

Help

The following are duties you may be required to accomplish but it is not all inclusive:Recreation Aids at the Golf Course may be required to perform any or all of the following duties:

-Prepares list of golfers on first come first serve basis to ensure smooth starting from tees. Checks registration sheet for signature and membership cards for eligibility. Refers nonmembers to appropriate personnel for proper payment of green fees. Assists golfers in receiving sufficient number of players for game.

- Polices balls from driving range, culls cleans and fills ball dispensing machines. Cleans and stocks latrines on golf course. Checks cards when return for cleanliness, removes trash and washes cart. Places carts on battery charger to prepare for the following day.

- Receives recreation (golf) equipment and inspects for unusual wear or damage and returns to proper storage. Maintains, cleans and performs minor repairs to equipment.

-Ensures patrons observe club safety rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty which may include weekends, nights and holidays.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
This is an entry level position. No previous experience required. Ideal candidates would possess practical knowledge of recreational golf activities, rules and procedures.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
