This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL Direct Support Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Help
  • Provides oral and/or written correspondence as well as advice, assistance, and technical guidance for Ordnance Ground Maintenance Systems on a regular basis.
  • Assess practical implications of information contained in published materials in order to develop workable concepts and/or capability gap solutions.
  • Defines and documents capability gaps, operational requirements, operations and organizations, DOTMLPF-P analysis, and other alternative solutions for performing Ordnance Core Competencies, specifically Ground Maintenance Systems.
  • Provide analytical rigor in reviewing, updating, and changing supporting documentation for Ground Maintenance Systems.
  • Understanding of Advanced and Additive Manufacturing capabilities and processes highly desirable.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) experience with the JCiDS process to include the development of GAPS through the AROC; 2) evaluating policies and procedures involving the concepts and theories of logistics management to support missions and operations; 3) analyzing impact of current activities on current and projected resources; 4) making recommendations on alternatives and determining milestones; AND 5) developing, coordinating and maintaining the logistics required capabilities for Ordnance ground maintenance systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-2/GS-11)

Education
