Duties

Help
  • You will function as an authority/consultant with responsibility for facilitating Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Staff (JS), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) support to the Program Office.
  • You will work with the senior program coordinator and program leadership to provide expert consultation and advice for planning, direction, and subsequent evaluation to the Program Office
  • You will establish and foster liaison relationships with the Intelligence Community, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense subject matter experts to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of Program Office mission requirements
  • You will participate in senior-level, operationally oriented meetings as an authoritative representative of Program Office management and Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Staff (JS), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:

  1. Providing problem and requirement definition, opportunity identification, coordination, and collaboration concerning intelligence, policy guidance, and authority support required for targeting, planning, risk assessment, and project execution;
  2. Interpreting and applying administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents and negotiating effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations;
  3. Providing input to the senior program coordinator and helping execute the formulation and implementation of engagement strategies;
  4. Developing operational policy and procedures in the support of the strategic objectives of an organization;
