  • Manage a subordinate staff of technical and support employees to perform the real estate work of the Branch; to coordinate and manage all civil and military real estate programs for the Sacramento and San Francisco Districts
  • Provide realty services required for Army MACOMs, Air Force MAJCOMs, other DoD agencies, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), US Coast Guard and other agencies.
  • The Real Estate program encompasses civil and military projects and military installations located in an eight-state area, as well as other locations based on serviced customer requirements
  • Strategize, plan, formulate, and administer all aspects of the Real Estate Division’s programs in support of Civil Works, Military Installations, Environmental Restoration, and Recruiting and Leasing programs.
  • Support federal and cost-shared civil works projects, including crediting of lands, easements, rights-of-way, relocations, and disposals; management of lands at existing projects; real property accountability.
  • Manage real property at military installations; execution of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program, Reserve Property Exchange (RPX) Program,
  • Manage environmental restoration programs such as the Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) program, the Recruiting Leasing program, and other special military programs; real estate support to other federal agencies (work for others)
  • Serve as first line supervisor and rater for Section Chiefs and Realty Specialist Technical Leads. Serves as second-line supervisor and higher-level rater for all others within the Branch

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience managing/supervising a real estate program involving real estate planning, acquisition, management and disposal of land and structures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • As a remote position, the actual salary will be determined based on the duty location after selection. The salary listed reflects the 2024 RUS table (lowest range possible).
