Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the Aviation Air to Air Weapons Requirements Officer Analyst for the OPNAV N98 Strike Programs Branch.
  • You will be the conduit and liaison for all Air to Air Weapons programs and requisite organizations in developing commands, and OPNAV/SECNAV organizations.
  • You will prepare and justify Navy positions on resource allocations within an assigned group of tasks affecting all phases of the Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Executive (PPBE) development for existing and future Air to Air Weapons programs.
  • You will perform as a recognized authority in the analysis and evaluation of Naval Aviation Requirements pertaining to Naval Aviation Air to Air Weapons programs.
  • You will provide key expertise for budget development using the PPBE processes to ensure that the Air to Air Weapons program funding strategy is fully understood.
  • You will coordinate with internal and external experts, decision-makers, program managers, and foreign military departments.
  • You will perform narrative and data-driven justifications and presentations to support acquisition budget estimates and execution analysis.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You may be required to work overtime.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative management and technical support duties which may include budget preparation, fund management, resource allocation, drafting technical documents, designing and conducting comprehensive reviews . Examples of specialized experience must include most or all of the following: 1) Preparing and justifying resource allocation; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and and evaluating reports, plans, and policy; 3) Developing budgets; 4) Preparing presentations to support budgets and policies.
