Duties

Help
  • Serves as the Supervisor of the IT Branch. Uses strong leadership skills to supervise a team of specialists (NF-4/GS-09 level) performing Systems Administration and the delivery of Information Technology.
  • Implements system security plans, policies and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Performs assignments using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration and systems engineering.
  • Supervises assigned staff, defines organizational objectives and specific goals of the subordinate IM element.
  • Plans short-range and long-range work to be accomplished, and adjusts long-range schedules, objectives, and goals in relation to the workload, personnel required, and priorities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a Tier III investigation.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 0700-1700 (8-hour day shifts). Occasional work on weekends, holidays, and irregular hours when requested.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in:

  • Principles and methods for integrating information systems components.
  • Performance tuning tools and techniques.
  • System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques.
  • Systems administration methods.
  • IT security principles.
Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:
  • Have a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) in Computer Science.
  • Have at least one (1) year experience with MWR programs.
  • Have at least one (1) year experience supervising.
  • Possess a valid CompTIA Security + Certification.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
  • In addition to the base hourly salary, this position is eligible for a Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA) of 2.63%
