Summary
The Instructional Technologist position is centered on using their technology skills to enhance adult learning. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in technology integration, enabling them to apply their advanced technological skills to create innovative multimedia resources and design both in-person and online courses that align with adult learning principles.
Designs and conducts information sessions, workshops, seminars, and trainings on various technology-related topics. Identifies, evaluates, and aggregates training materials from a variety of sources. Develops and administers evaluation metrics to assess the effectiveness of technology training programs, using feedback to make continuous improvements.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with other departments to support all software needs. Coordinates with departments to ensure there is broad input, involvement, and endorsement of technology related changes. Employs technical writing skills to document internal processes and procedures. Creates custom documentation for proprietary system internal to the Gallery. Contributes to the development of the NGA’s Learning Management System as it applies to providing Windows, Mac, and Mobile device training.
Works with the Software Asset Management program to identify, and recommend applications based on Gallery needs and assist with application licensing. Evaluates existing software platforms to achieve consolidation. Works closely with user support and assistance and recommend technical solutions. Performs staff in evaluating cybersecurity and data sensitivity implications of IT tools.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience Statement: For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service or private sector, designing an IT based learning program for adult learners.
