Duties

Help
  • You will develop and implement plans, policies and procedures pertaining to the scheduling, training, operation, administration, maintenance, and utilization of the overall UC network.
  • You will provide operational management/administration, oral and written presentations, reports, findings, and project status to management for the UC Network as directed.
  • You will ensure credentialed users have access to appropriate resources and tools required to support the operation/mission.
  • You will assist users on UC production matters involving special facility requirements.
  • You will provide support and solutions for special projects in support of regional IT goals and future concepts of operations.
  • You will be responsible for conducting and organizing conference operations prior to and during the conference and serves as the central point of contact for multi-point scheduling.

  • This position may require travel away from the normal duty station, not to exceed 25% annually and requires the employee to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • The incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) driver’s license.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) would be demonstrated by installing, configuring, and maintaining UC endpoints, specifically regional audio and video capabilities AND managing and configuring server infrastructure including directory services, meetings management, and call bridges, with the capability to perform troubleshooting actions as required.

This position is within the Work Category Technician/Administrative Support at Work Level Senior, Series and Grade GG-2210-11.

This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
