Summary

The incumbent performs at journeymen level a variety of trades including various: carpentry, masonry, tile setting, painting, plastering, roofing, steel stud framing, drywall installation and finishing, carpentry and dust control measures. Will also work with casework, suspended ceiling systems, various flooring and accessories for use in medical offices, exam, procedure and operating rooms.

Duties

Help

Duties include, but not limited to the following:

  • Works with cabinetry, furniture, orthopedic devises for use in medical offices and other uses.
  • Assembles/disassembles steel stud framing to include creating or working from complex drawings as a layout of the entire floor plan, ensuring assembly is consistent with building codes, safety standards, local standards, and manufacturing standards.
  • Builds fixtures, shelving, cabinets, interior walls,laths, sheathing, floors, ceiling, and stairs with verbal and/or drawings.
  • Installs window frames, doors, outside trims, inside trims.
  • Removes and installs flooring, ceramic tile, structural and glazed tiles for walls, floors and ceilings in medical offices and various locations each requiring special consideration due to type of activity, location and, infectious control requirements.
  • Performs plastering duties.
  • Paints a variety of surfaces, such as interiors and exteriors of buildings and/or stationary mobile equipment.
  • Maintains, repairs, alters and renovates the interior and exterior structures built from concrete, block, ceramic tiles by preparing and spreading mortar or adhesive; cutting, shaping, and laying blocks and tiles, and finishing joints.
  • Maintains, installs, repairs, and weatherproof roofs using roofing accessories, Heat welded TPO systems, roofing felt, asphalt, and various other roofing coatings and materials
  • Stores and categorizes unused products consistent with local warehouse standards, ensuring efficient space utilization.
  • Performs random safety/ integrity spot checks and maintains records containing location by floor, equipment manufacture work performed; time to perform the work and parts utilized, as necessary.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
