Duties

Help
  • You will review and monitor overall program execution and make adjustments as necessary based on circumstances and priorities.
  • Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policy into the development of projects within the program.
  • Plan, coordinate and review the work of employees engaged in the acquisition of real property and relocation of persons displaced in connection with projects.
  • Allocate project funds to real estate team members and monitor performance to assure commitments are being maintained for all projects within the program.
  • Review individual project progress, measure performance and take necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost as well as overall program accomplishments.
  • Serves as a Technical Advisor on real estate matters, provide assistance to staff engaged in the preparation of reports, memoranda and other decision documents relative to the planning, development and execution of projects and program activities.
  • As a senior member of staff, serve as mentor and technical resource to other Real Estate Divisions across the Corps.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff as appropriate.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service determining real estate requirements for realty projects including coordinating negotiation, budgeting, leasing, property transfer alterations, acquisition and disposal, and project management with property owners, Federal agencies, state, local governments, banks and/or insurance companies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
