Duties

Help
  • Serves as the Program Administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for the installation Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) Program. Oversees, plans, coordinates, and administers activities based on the pillars of the BOSS program.
  • Coordinates, administers, and conducts monthly BOSS meetings. Serves as the SME for Soldiers issues submitted through the Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) Program. Resides on various council committees.
  • Plans and coordinates special events assigned to the Directorate of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DMWR), Recreation Division (RD). Responsible for the set-up and teardown of equipment supporting installation special events.
  • Prepares and submits an annual NAF Budget. Collects applicable fees for events, accounts for monies and petty cash funds, prepares a Daily Activity Report, monitors and prepares Rec-Trac data and makes daily deposits.
  • Solicits for sponsorship under the direct supervision of the installation MWR Marketing Department. Develops a marketing plan for recreational programs. Briefs the installation command group on upcoming events.

  • Hours of work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position is designated as a Key Essential position for the purpose of deploying during contingency operations to support Soldiers.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to manage multiple projects and determine priorities of work under the guidance of SOPs, APF and NAF BOSS regulations, and immediate supervisor.
2. Ability to learn military correspondence procedures and dealing with the public.
3. Must also possess excellent verbal and written skills in English.
4. Must have a working knowledge of basic software.
5. Knowledge of budget formulation and administration is also required.
6. Applicants must have experience performing work similar to the duties listed above.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).   • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives not be paid.

  • Post Allowance is authorized for this position if the selectee is determined to meet eligibility requirements (Camp Casey is a 12-month unaccompanied tour area.).
