Area of Consideration is limited to employees whose permanent/temporary duty assignment is in a component within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, applicants must demonstrate the following competencies: must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

In addition, applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include IT-related work that involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
The specialized experience is REQUIRED and must be explicitly documented/described in your resume, or you will be disqualified from further consideration.
