Duties

Help
  • Performs a wide range of creative graphic design work in multiple media, including posters, fliers, brochures, program books, signage and digital advertising assets and similar materials.
  • Ensures all work is visually appealing, high quality, consistent across media and created to meet required specifications and branding standards.
  • Works in a fast-paced environment demanding quick turnaround times.
  • Works on a schedule and is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Makes changes and additions to our WSMR MWR website utilizing a basic content management system.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.

  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited program in graphic design, art or related field which involves artistic creativity or work experience performing the duties described above.

Best Qualified:
Possess an associate's degree in graphic design or a certificate/certification from an accredited program in graphic design.
Well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator an also some photoshop.

Highly preferred:
Possess a bachelor's degree in graphic design. One or more years of experience in graphic design in an MWR, freelance, agency, University or corporate setting.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives Will be paid.
  • incentive or bonus in the amount of $4,000 will be paid in two (2) annual installments of $2,000 each
    year for two (2) years and less that one (1) percent annually of the anticipated salary of
    $45,000. is authorized.
