Duties

Help
  • Manages responses and coordinates on a variety of external inquiries, media questions, and press releases regarding the Agency contract audit mission.
  • Plans and coordinates briefings to Congressional Committees, Subcommittees, and professional staff. Coordinates and prepares the agenda from Executive Steering Committee (ESC) briefings.
  • Prepares briefing sessions for external organizations having interface with the Director, Deputy, and/or HQ Assistant Directors. Reviews content of presentations for appropriateness and policy considerations.
  • Performs a variety of special projects, tasks, and assignments assigned by the Director or Deputy Director, some of highly confidential or sensitive in nature.
  • Manages the planning and administration of the Agency's strategic plan. Supports the ESC in establishing the plan, and in monitoring plan activities and status.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs and supervises program and administrative support staff.

Qualifications

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.

Specialized Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience for this position is defined as; 1) experience in supervising, 2) experience as an advisor and liaison to senior management on sensitive information and activities; 3) Experience in managing and coordinating tasks for executive level actions; and 4) Experience in conducting executive level briefings.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level.

Initial Probationary Period: You will be required to serve an initial probationary period of 1 year if one has not already been completed. You will be required to serve a supervisory/managerial probationary period of 1 year unless one has previously been completed.

Drug Testing: If you are given access to classified information, you will be subject to random drug testing.

Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). You must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret level.

Telework: Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.

Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized for this vacancy based on agency staffing needs and budgetary availability. The incentive will require a signed service agreement, as well as satisfactory performance and conduct. The service agreement will detail conditions of receipt and acceptance of the incentive, and will be provided after entrance on duty. This monetary incentive will be disbursed within several pay periods after entrance on duty.

PCS: Relocation expenses reimbursed - Yes - You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy. Relocation expenses will be offered based on agency staffing needs and budgetary availability.

Performance Appraisal: If you are a current Federal employee, you must be rated fully successful or higher on your current performance rating to be eligible for promotion. You may be asked to provide a copy of your performance appraisal during the evaluation and selection process.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP): You must be well qualified for the position to receive special selection priority under the ICTAP.
